    Cal wide and 12 mile.

Fished cal wide yesterday for not a great deal. left mooloolaba ramp at 5am and had a great run out. Saw a big sea snake on the way out lots of brown crap flaoting on the wateer does anyone know what this is?? Once we arrived at my spot fishing was very slow, fish were showing on the sounder but not hungry. I did hook up on a monster but poor maintainance cost me this fish with the loop of my paternoster rig pulling through the unclosed eye of my gangs oh well lesson learned the hard way check check and tripple check all your work. I am trying to convince myself it was a shark as the old man pulled one in about 5min later about 3-4ft but it didnt fight like a shark but we will never know. Managed a parrot about 2kg and a small squire then the current picked up to much so we ran into the 12mile and fished a couple of marks for a few more parrot and a lipper. NE seabreeze made it a wet trip home but it was great to get back on the water again. Can't wait for Fraser. Time to get a big Red in my tinnie...CHEERS BRENDAN.....

We went to the banks and there were several sea snakes coming around the boat in the morning and lost fish to sharks all day. Still got a nice feed and was a good day on the water.

Must have been Coral Spawn or that brown algae we get in summer with the nor-easters.
