big snapper for the beggining of my holiday

first post for me guys so here goes, at this present time im stuck on my house at kooringal at the southern end of Moreton for 2 weeks holiday, i managed to get a nice fish in yesterday fished for 1 hour at my fav snapper spot 10mins from the house and at 3pm managed this nice 24lb bay snapper, spent the rest of the afternoon catching a nice feed of squid, hope this is a good sign for the holidays (except for the rain)

well we know an old guy that use to live at moreton and when he demolished his house (bessabrick) he took trip by trip of it out to this spot and dumped it, that was about 15 years ago, its about 2km away from the mount cotton reach, ive caught many snapper there biggest going 29lb, this one was caught on bait, 20lb line 50lb trace and a solid wood handline, i usually get a couple of good fish each time i go out though i only keep 1 they probably all average around 12lb

That's a great squire there matey I'll have to admit but with that sort of gear I reckon you'll do better before the holidays are out.
Hopefully you'll get a decent snapper

i dont mind posting where abouts i got him because you can drive around all day you wont find it on the sounder haha, and you need to know how to fish this area, i use bigger baits then squid the wobbies like them to much
