Bream in the Brissy river

Cruised out on the brissy river on sunday arvo while the winds were down and managed to catch a couple of livies in the cast net (mullet), and about 7 prawns, i've really gotta get a cast net with a top pocket as we were targeting prawns haha, drove around near portside till we found a pontoon worth casting at and in about half an hour we pulled about 5 bream, 4 of them were double hook ups!! all bream were from 23 up to 32cm, not real big but good fun, night time came and we put out the mullet but only managed a 4-5 foot eel and a dirty stinkin catfish! The eel didn't come near the boat as i reckon it would've taken someone's foot off if we gave him the chance!

Great to see a few enjoying the river . The ever reliable bream . We're so lucky to have a great population of them in the river and their only to keen to hit a plastic or a small lure. Well done fellas .Couldn't pick the area you were fishing tho

mossy i threw a plastic around b4 using the bait and had one bream chase it right up to the boat, but just got lazy after that! There's always next time tho...

chief i brought two of those atomic HB's u were saying in another post you got for chrissy a while back and they work fairly well! Thanks for the heads up! The spot was across from portside! in that vicinity, should'nt be to hard to figure out with that pic in mind!

Thanks cheif, yeah that's mine, little salt! She goes well for a tinny in the rivers and creeks etc. and she doesn't mind it when were out in the rough either! wouldnt have anything else at the moment!
