Certain brands are still significantly cheaper on eBay, but you have to order more to make the postage cost worth it. Might as well support the locals in times like this... especially when they're as nice as the Grells.

I agree, however pretty hard sometimes especially when some items are just downright rediculous in price.Take props for example with one company here in Aust who sell direct to public at such a price you can import 2 props for the same price all inclusive from a re-seller in the states even when the Aus $ is only buying US $ 0.65.

This suggests to me the company here in Aus is making at least 80% G.P.

Weak dollar makes it hard to import...but makes buying aus bargains even more worthwhile.

For one reason or another there have been some absolute bargains on the second hand markets.

Maybe more guys and girls are off loading stuff to fund other purchases or perhaps they were thinking about selling something and the general slow down has been the catalyst to actually sell it.

My minister for finances says my $950 is going towards an air conditioner.

Now really is the time to buy at your local tackle shop. Most of their stock would have landed before the dollar nose dived. I know Fish Head had the cheapest Sage Rods in the world recently. My Megabass Kirisame was cheaper at Fish Head than anywhere overseas. Buy in Aus, and support our Tackle Shops.

No insurance? If you have Household Insurance of any kind it will most likely cover stolen or lost goods even from a car or boat!! as long as it is normally resides at you residence.
