Considering the remaining stocks of the 950ss was selling for up to $350 you may be able to sell it for more because of it's history?

    Re: Original spinfisher 750

$70 i would rather just keep it
All i know is they are good reels and everyone recons they are way better then the new models even if they dont have anti reverse its just i never use it. As i use the saltist for spinning now and i only use lures now.
If anyone is after a good condition spinfisher 750 send me a PM and make me a offer

    cheers BK

    Re: Original spinfisher 750

BK, unless you need the money I'd be inclined to hold onto it.

The original yank spinfishers are fast becoming collectable reels both here and the US.

It will appreciate in value the longer you hold it.

You only need to look at the discontinued Shimano TLD 5 & 10 & pre Garcia ABU's. Your Penn is no exception.

I think you'll find you made a good investment at the time of purchase and may not have realised.

PS: Price wise, if it's in as good a condition as you say I wouldn't take any less than $300.00 for it.

I have seen them sell for just under $400.00

    Re: Original spinfisher 750

Sorry if it seems like i'm hijacking the thread but it's sorta on topic.

Just curious, what would someone be willing to pay for a very smooth, good conditioned, recently serviced(1 month ago), havn't used it since old model Penn 850ss spooled with 30lb Tuf Line? Just an idea anybody?

    Thnx
"holy sh!t, did you see that?"

    Re: Original spinfisher 750

If it comes up good in a picture and works like new throw it on Ebay for a $200-300 buy it now and see!

I wouldn't sell my Last of the US SS950s for anything...well almost lot's like me have long historys with these models, everytime I use it reminds me of an old friend. But then again I also want my HQ PV back!

I've got a 1994 850SS which I will take to the grave. I'd be more than happy to give you $70 for your 750.... You may even talk me up a little from $70.

    dave,
i also have the old 850ss, it's in great nick & catches most of my big fish.
when i am finished with it, it will go to my young falla & will serve him for the rest of his fishing days. they are a winch!

    Re: Original spinfisher 750

Hang onto it champ I have a 650 and 850 which have been great reels. I have retired them now (as I have newer smoother reels to replace them). Wish I still had the boxes though. Can't wait to hand them onto my kids when I have some.
