    1770 fishing in July???

    Hello,

I am planning a week long fishing trip to 1770 this year. At the moment i am looking at going in mid-late July and was wondering if this is a good time to go with regards to good weather and am also wondering what species are generally targeted at that time of year.

I will be in a 4.3m tinny and planning on fishing the creeks and close offshore (if the weather permits).

I have been to 1770 a couple of times but always in Summer. Last time we went we had a week of bad weather and i couldn't get outside at all.

    • What species are around in the creeks in July (jacks, crabs??)
    • What pelagics are generally targeted/caught around July??
    • What reefies are targeted/caught around July??

Any help/advice would greatly be appreciated.

I might have to look at rescheduling my holidays. May sounds good.
