pretty silly question but i thought id ask to see any way. has any one ever tried putting things like s factor an the likes on your livies to see if you get a better strike rate weither it makes the fish want to strike more aggrisivly or just cuz it smells like it would taste good. never done it my self was just wondering if any 1 has had a play around an done it befor??
this may seem like a funny question but i have seen a guy do it on a slimy mac livie on a dvd. put some of that stimulate ultrabite stuff on its nose sent it down and pulled up a 20kg+ cobe. sure the cobe proly would have eatin it anyway and i personaly wouldnt bother but just goes to show its been done before
I dont think the liquid would hold on the fishes natural slime layer.
Liquids are better off going into a cavity like a prawnstar lure, or a cut bait. I used stimulate on mullet strips, and i cut a few cross sections just like scoring a pork rind. Dunno if it makes any difference tho. I get good results with and without it.
I did like Sfactors claims that its tested on aussie fish, and all others are imported american scents tested on bass. I think this is a key thing in sfactors success. I believe them when they say some imported scents actually turn fish off. I found that Yum prawn scent was doing this.
then again, I'll believe anything about fishing, and try any new fangled device at least once. Im a sucker for new tackle toys. I tried that UV reflector stuff and it didnt help.
