No I dont think so, I put up a thread on here when i made it and I think the whole lot ,large ss hook, pole, epoxy, came to about $60, from memory. Extended it is about 7 metres, and that is with a good amount (500mm) of the inner tube still inside the outer.I painted a ring on the inner where i wanted the minimum overlap to be so I didnt bend the inner under load.
We have a pole at home for our pool, sadly i cant use that one, but i feel asthough i will be able to manipulate it with one arm. It is a rather heavy pole. I will probably make myself a second one about half the length from bamboo for the lower spots that i fish.
