Everything but Jacks...

Went for a Land base fish up at Bribie yesterday, to test out my new four pcs BC travel rod on the local Jack population. Had a very slow start without even a touch before sun up. I threw an SX-60 into a drain that came out to a shallow rocky bottom. Couple of cranks and I was slamed. First called it a good cod, then a nice flatty came to the surfaces. Not what I was after, however it gave a great account for itself and a great way to break in the new rod. Couple of pics then I sent her on her way. Changed spots after this and after many lure changes finally hooked up to what felt like a jack, then to my surprise up pops a grassy. The rest of the morning was cod after cod and one more flatty. No jacks, but still had fun.

Bit unfortunate about the Jacks mate, still looks like you had a good sesh though. I think I'm gonna have to give these prawnstars a go one time soon lol. Well done and keep up the good work.
