So we headed back to shore . We were home about 9am. we didnt want to call it a day yet, so we decided to fish to pine with plastics in the other tinny, we droped in about 11am and there were heaps of people having fun everywhere , boats everywhere, Its going to be hard to catch a fish today! Ended up with a little cod and bream and got busted up twice, so it ended up a good day in the end. cheers stessco
I think a lot of boats had the same idea. Started in the bay, ended in the Pine. All I managed was one crab and a cut on my foot from the ramp. Still, it was nice seeing so many people enjoying the day.
Any idea what busted you? One of Nico's bullies maybe?
I had another shot at the Pine River bream today (Tuesday). There were intermittent heavy showers but under the freeway bridges was perfectly dry so the rain was not really a problem. There were plenty of bream to be had but the quality wasn't anything to write home about. Ended up keeping 15 and releasing 26. Also caught and released a small painted sweetlip (morwong, mother-in-law fish) - a first for the Pine.

lapras, I was going for jacks, the fish hit my lure and ran straight for the bank, then turned for the closes snag, i stopped the reel with my hand, it was to strong for the 8lb.
freeeedom, yesterday there were heaps of boats under the bridge. sounds like you had a great day under the bridge and a good feed.
Stessco - every time a heavy shower came through a number of boats would come tearing up or down the river and take shelter under the bridges. When the rain stopped they would all take off again, so quite often I was the only one there. That suited me fine because the traffic tends to put the fish down for a while.
