Hello all. I'm off to Bribie on saturday for an overnighter with a mate fishing the passage throughout the night and drop a few pots around. Want to head out into the bay early morning to try our luck on the spotties if the weather permits. Problem is that I'm not sure were to start looking. The four beacons and sandhills are areas that often get mentioned. Would like to hang around the northern end as it is close to bribie. Now the hard part is that i'm looking for a few tips to firstly catch some livies and then when and where would be couple of spots to start the search (will have some pillies to float around and a rod rigged with a slug if lucky enough to come across some surface action). I realise these fish are always on the move but any tips would be appriciated. I'm not local and have to travel a few hours to get to bribie so it would be nice to take a few home to keep the mrs happy as they are great tucker. Also is there any where at bribie to roll a swag out for a couple hours kip. Thanks for any help.
