    Prawns

    Hey guys,
Has anyone been out chasing prawns around Brisy lately?
On my way to work today i saw a couple of guys throwing nets in Boggy creek.
I'm thinking it is still a little early.

Enough in the Pine for a live bait session Marty. I got about 150 on Monday even though it was across a high tide. Last week I got 2.5kg across the low, but they're all greasies at the moment - only 3 small bananas in the 2.5kg.

Went out prospecting yesterday, Yes its a month early but I'm gettin itchy feet. 3 trawlers working the river-no doubt getting the greasies!
Anyway trecked around the pin for sweet f a. I did get 1 banana at 22 cm long and at least a kilo of 7cm juveniles which I returned to the water for next months catching. I reckon the Pine will go off first though, It usually does

    Re: Prawns

Any Chance anybody knows the rules and regs on using prawn pots in qld? Have cylindrical pots with 2 openings.

Most of the places around gladstone i see schools of prawns are far too rocky to throw a net. Anybody got any ideas on places in Gladstone? Just after a feed.

    Cheers
    Steven
