Thread: Battery for 44lb leccy

    Question Battery for 44lb leccy

G'day all, recently bought a 44lb watersnake and now I'm looking for a battery. I was looking at geeting a 120 a/h but due to a very small budget at the moment I was wondering what the smallest size battery that I could get away with was. I only need it to run the leccy for a few hours per trip.
    Thanks TT

If only a few hours per trip, go find yourself an old car battery until you can afford a decent deep cycle. The car battery will do you for now.

TT ..... I would be looking at a minimum of a 100amp Deep Cycle .... I know you mention that you need to watch your budget - but quality is important , otherwise you could be looking at buying another one in a couple of years.
Make sure that you buy a marine deep cycle ...... as they can take the pounding (Trojan probably the best)

Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
    Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

Thanks guys, I'm just getting a bit edgy, I've put the motor on the boat and now I'm keen as mustard to test it out. Sounds like my sideline job(funds my fishing) is a bout to pick up again so I might wait untill I can buy something decent.

Those batteries are pretty good and reasonably priced. Above link is to a review of the battery.

    Give Wynnum Batteries 3396 3674‎ a go.
Their prices for AGM batteries are very good.
