Just spent 7 days at awoonga with 3 mates. Landed 7 barra for the week between the 4 of us. Tough going we thought, all were caught trolling the weed banks at the back of dingo island at night. Several missed strikes which was to be expected as it was our first time up there. Have never trolled for barra before espically at night only managed once to get ourselves stuck in the weed banks. which took some time to get out,man is that stuff thick. Overall we had a good time. We stayed at awoonga caravan park which in time will scrub up pretty well with a few dollars throwen at it,but the staff were great and very friendly. Cheers Basil2
You did well to get some fish as it's been pretty hard from all the donut reports we have been getting. Stuck in the weed ahhh yes i think we have all done that one.
