Took a mate out to Maroon Dam for a morning bass session. Right on sun up at our 1st spot we both worked surface lures. Mark had a bass hit and miss his popper not long after that I caught my 1st bass on surface! I finally get some results, what an exciting way to catch them as I have been consistently working surface lures in past and come up short. The rest of the morning went a little slow but we still caught fish. 7 fish were caught. Mark caught his 1st Maroon Dam bass on spinner baits and plastics. He's pretty chuffed about his efforts too. Good work Mark!

Sounds like a fun session. There was lenty of surface action on Sunday evening when we were there, but we, and a few others couldnt raise a touch on any of the surface lures we threw at them.

Getting smashed on the surface is unreal! Pro's on Tv make it look too easy. Had been trying pretty hard over past few weeks. All paid off!
