Where is the E3 Beacon north Moreton Bay HELP!!!!!!

Hi guys,

As I am new to heading out past Redcliffe I was hoping someone can put me in the right direction. I am chasing King Fish or anything decent and have been told by several people at the Scarborough boat ramp that they have caught them at the E3 beacon.

My question is where is the E3 beacon???

I have tried reading the Beacon to Beacon but am not sure which one they are talking about?? Are they talking about the 4 markers on the East side of the North East Channel near Venus Banks??

I have caught King fish at Hutchison Shoal on a mates boat but want to stay a little closer in as my boat is not as big.

I know people don't like to give spots away but any info would be appreciated as I am finding this very frustrating.

Get a chart called MB1 of Moreton Bay. The later versions of this chart are rubbish compared to much more detailed older versions. Most boating places will sell it, or Boat Books in Brisbane.
Beacon to Beacon is only good for toilet paper out there. M3 is at the top of the Pearl Channel.

Can anyone tell me the GPS mark for E4? I have it as 27.14.000 153.20.000 but I am a bit sus by all them 0's at the end....
