A mod of some sort mentioned earlier in a post they had spoken to Col, and there words from memory were "things are happening". I did send a PM to Mod5, but am not sure that's where the post came from. I recieved no reply.

That's the problem when things get removed or deleted, it is no longer there to check back on.

All I ask is that the threads regarding any subject remain two sided, and not edited to suit any interests.

I have said enough on this thread, and will hopefully let it die a peaceful death.

    I'm with you Darren!

Last Wednesday night i did read a post that definately was a long the lines of " there is something going on and will advice more when it comes to hand " I spoke to several people about the issue and that post came up.

I to can no longer find this post so sticking to the exact facts is a little difficult, maybe the 4 straight day fishing clouded my memory Maybe ausfish had a virus?

I definately wish Col all the best in this and hopefully all will be resolved soon!

    Re: fisher boats

Yes i did post that prior to the thread being locked.
I am a mate of cols and put up a post just to ask if people could hold off a while and wait to see what comes out in the wash. The whole thing is stressfull and unfortunate for all concerned so just give it time to get sorted. This is a massive web site these days and if untrue things are said it can do alot of damage.

Its only natural for everyone myself included to want to know whats gone on but these things cant always be spoken about in public straight. And i know col and the boys will say nothing rather than feed people a heap of crap.

I dont think anyone involved knows how long this will take to sort out but as soon as it is im sure ausfish will be the first to know. For now im told all the people with boats and deposits have been contacted so hopefully that has eased their worries a little.so lets try to keep a positive attitude, which most people are, and back everyone involved.

    cheers scotty

After reading the thread again (i can't re-read the deleted ones) i am still trying to find the rumors! all i can find is the shed is closed & all the boats are gone from the yard! that appears to be fact, as no-one is disputing it..People just want to know what is happening. I think the silence from he company is detrimental. In these times, i am sure businesses are going to the wall hand over fist from reasons that are, to a large extent, out of their control.

I suppose the question should be, without posting them: who has heard rumors about Fisher having trouble.

    I have..

    Guys,

I would like to clarify here that as the posts have been removed/edited, I can no longer find this post in question from Steve, or whoever posted it.

It may actually have been posted by one of the other moderators, but is all deleted now. I remember thinking at the time I thought a Mod should be posting the facts he knows can be made public, not hiding what he/she has stated they know.

My apologies to Steve if he was not the original poster.

    Regards

    Re: fisher boats

    My point exactly,

Can these conclusions be classed as fact? Are the doors closed? Is the yard empty? That's a shame. I feel bad for anyone who may have been left with no work or lost deposits.

Lets confirm the facts and move on.

    Bloody wind!

    Regards

    Darren

    Facts:

The previous premises at Piper St have been vacated.

Fisher Boats is operating from a different location. I had someone I know locally visit the new premises and just today have heard very positive feedback (including that FISHER staff are working on boats right now, as I type).

I won't comment in relation to the things I think, but will stick to the things I know. I hope that approach rubs off.

    ... and another thing.

I would like to thank those who have contacted me with support and assistance. You know who you are. Much appreciated.

If that is the case, why hasn't someone from Fisher said something? that would put an end to the whole question..

    Re: fisher boats

What is it that people don't understand? Something will be posted when the time is right. I'm sure Col has more to worry about than to get on a computer and tell all the impatient people on Ausfish what every move he's making.

    Re: fisher boats

since when does Fisher have ANY obligation to post anything at all on here regarding the operation of their business.

Bloody hell...if they want their customers to know what is happening then they will notify them. Other than that they don't have to do a thing if they do not feel the desire to.

I think there is an obligation as they have used the site to attract customers and there has been many threads of support of the product and service.

If Col , or Fisher (or whatever or whoever has rights to names etc) wish to respect the goodwill on the forum towards their product and help they have offered over a extended time I'm sure they will comment when possible.

A simple can't comment for legal reasons would suffice even if under another name or via the mods woild be, in my mind the right thing to do.

The very point that there is such a wide membership and such a fluid media such as a forum is a great benefit for getting facts and a message across. Holding and deleting posts or threads can be justified in so many ways but not if it is just to protect a advertiser otherwise nothing critical could ever be written.

Hope all the customers get a fair go and the business continues as the product seemed good.
