Lake Leslie
G/day Fellas
Looking for some heads up!
Going to step over the border on Tuesday to collect some bits for the Rocky 4WD at Toowoomba so reckon it was an opportunity too good to miss to drag the boat and have a fish at this location.
Would appreciate any info on methods and localities as I will have no local knowledge.
If you are about give a couple of grey haired old fishos a shout, I will be in a BMW X5 with 3.85 Explorer Trophy in tow.
Thanks in advance.

HEY YA Louie!
Lake Leslie fished well the week prior to new years on both live shrimp and soft plastics. We were there for a week through new years and tried everything but failed...so did everyone else? The best spots are the main inlet creek or arm which is W and SW from the washpool reserve launch areas, it is about 50 meters wide in the main creek bed and about 25-30ft deep. You could also try the creek drop off which runs very close to the secondary launch area 10 meters from the shoreline (follow the depths you will find it), or up near the wall on the left hand side near some large bausalt rocks.
Let us know how you go we are considering going back for the Australia Day long weekend if they are on... if not will be heading to Coolamunda.

Returned from the visit to the sunshine state. spent 2 sessions at Leslie with a donut result from each. Threw everything in the tackle box and even included a bounty of prime New England yabbies on the diet. The NE winds didnt help on Tuesday I must admit, not much structure in the dam compared to my usual haunts, so my technique was off the mark.
Saw a couple of fish taken on the troll, however there were more boats than fish caught.
Amenities were neat and clean and for the $7/person/nite fee a bargain.
Thanks again to those that supplied the local goss.
