    LED lighting Set ups

Okay while it's been raining here and blowing like 10 blowing things and with nothing much else to do ecept to maintaince all the gear and rig up for next trip was liking to know what everyone else's setups in the LED lighting are done to their boat
I have 3 setups one at rear to shine the floor while travelling to spots
One under inside cabin that swivels
One one my fold down canopy (120 led bulds) for deck fishing
And have bought another 120 led one for my rod targa that i got off Angla when i fit to shine further out the back again

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

I have one of these push button leds on either side of teh rocket launcher...they are just in the right spot for checking a bait a bump with your hand on and off..they work really well....the spot you can see in the pic has been moved out to the side (now have 2) they light up the water right around the back of the boat when needed...

I got them from BCF....its a bit hard to see in the pic but i had to run some white tape around them (one kept falling offwhere it clicked together...that was it but ...a quick fix and they have been great...they dont stuff up your night vision either...and plenty of light...

    Re: LED lighting Set ups

The best thing i found was to shop around for prices . Some place like AED lighting warehouses or 4 x 4 shops are a lot cheaper and some are more sealed then others .............. And they are dear but worth the money for the battery usage
    JT
The one like Juju's i got from BCF and others from boatshops and a tyre store of all places was the longest one

    Re: LED lighting Set ups

Mate of mine has some really cool LED's that his company imports. His Quinnie looks like a christmas tree if you turn them all on yet your night vision isn't screwed. His company distributes them so I don't know who the end dealers are. If you are interested, PM me and I will get the details for you. Just make sure you tell me what state you are in.

    Cheers,

How is it these LEDs don't screw with your night vision? I thought a red light was the only way to retain night vision.

    Re: LED lighting Set ups

This is the cabin light on in darkness and the rear led at the top of my canopy
The rear light lights the back to a tee . And my father wears glass's and doesn't reflect into them while we are fishing.

Put a few new ones on my rig when I had the new Targa done JT

The last one shows one of the two spot lights at each side of the rear of the Targa. It is the best by far. 316 grade stainless with a 5 watt high power led. rotates to nearly any position but upwards.

    Re: LED lighting Set ups

The guy at Whitworths told me those long strip leds that swivel are not water proof.
In other words after a couple of months they will corrode up and stop working.
I think he was mainly talking about the switch not being sealed.?
So JT how long have you had them?
