    Baffle Creek

    Hi all
going to baffle bobs Australia day long weekend .Taking the wife and kids and the boat of course. Just wondering if it's worth staying there or the camp stay up there .Going to chase anything that's bite lol .Taking heaps of lures and going to use live bait as well . If anyone else going to be up there that weekend come over and have a chat and beer .I'll be in the ford escape with the brooker 4.1 meter boat and 3 screaming kids

    cheers

    Re: Baffle Creek

Hi Bundymal, I have stayed at Baffle Creek Camp Stay & can recomend it. There are two camping areas, one at the junction of Baffle & Little creeks which is suitable for larger boats & bank fishing, or if you have a smaller boat the camp site further up Little creek is where we stayed. This area has a well equipped camp kitchen & a great communal fire pit. The Baffle Creek Tavern is within walking distance if you need a meal or a beer.( maybe I should be on a commission). There is a lot of water to explore & plenty of snags & rockbars so take it easy till you sus out the area. The guy who owns the camp stay has mud maps of the river & was very helpful. Hope this helps, have a good one where ever you end up. Look forward to reading your report.

    Cheers Andrew

    Re: Baffle Creek

    Hi Mal
Only been to Baffle once and we stayed at Baffle Bobs, we checked out the camp stay and we would probably stay there next time only for the fishing. The fishing from Bobs is probably no worse or better.
The only thing I guess is are you intending on towing the kids around on a tube or something, if you are ( and I may be wrong here) then Baffle Bobs may suit your needs better.

Id recommend the campstay, if you want to fish the mouth just tow the boat to flat rock.there have been ariund 150 jacks taken out of the campstay area over xmas and they are still on the bite. there is good fishing with in 200 metres of th campstay. If you r planning on aust it may pay to ring and book.

I'm pretty sure they are also having a raft race that weekend as well so will be busy, not sure how the fish are going to be that weekend.

    Re: Baffle Creek

stayed at baffle bobs awhile ago the the ramp at baffle bobs is ok but to get out from there was pretty challenging even in a 3m punt and 3.3 motor even on hightide because of the shallow water around both ways to get out of the little creek between an island and the main land
