Re: Broken Head Fishing ??
Nice place for a holiday. Some of the rocks and beaches are now a marine park but still a lot of good spots left. Search on the net for Cape Byron Marine Park and you will find a map. Map will also give you some hints to whats where by the naming of points etc. South to Seven Mile beach which you can 4WD on which is good for Bream, Whiting etc. North to Byron you can get around some of the rocks at the light house. Plenty of options within 20 - 30 mins. If there is a bit of wind and chop around there have been some good jewies and Tailor at dawn and dusk depending on tides as well.
cheers

Forgot one thing, Kings Beach is the local nudist beach. Well liked by over friendly old guys. ;(

G'day mate!
Broken Head itself is in the marine park and out of bounds.
Try the other beaches in the area.
Beware very strong rip at the south end of the beach in front of the Broken Head campsite.
For a bit more info PM me.
Regards, Rob.
Ballina.
