Delivery 25/30 Etec Delayed

Just for everyones info the new 25/30HP E-TECS has been delayed into Australia.

Now later in January for Control box models with no firm delivery date for the tiller steer models, but lots of excuses from BRP Australia.

Missed two fishing trips, Christmas fishing with the grandkids, and now not to defend my title in local fishing comp. Leave a bitter pill in your mouth.

Don't even open the garage to look at the new boat sitting there. Had it since Oct but still no in the water.

Great for these companies to boast about a new product for such a long time. But to not follow up with proper customer information and confirmation of delivery dates is a little annoying.

Realise also that some are dealers problems as well, but they when taking orders of products should have the full information available to them from the company reps.

Tell BRP Australia and get them to sort a loaner demo motor until the new one arrives. If all the rigging and controls are the same it shouldn't be too bigger hassle.

What is the new delivery time ? What is the problem - production, demand , shipping product issues , compliance??? or just bullcrapping local dealers and reps

Hope they are giving a huge discount or other product for staying loyal

Been through that they promised before Christmas to source a loaner, but the calls never happened, only got them to return my calls after lots of chasing. Dealers fault, shippers fault, parts suppliers fault and never once theres.

No offers or special deals just excuses. Getting very frustrated and slightly annoyed.

Wish someone with some knowledge or Authority from BRP, would cut to chase and come up with some facts not fiction.

Thanks for the offer, will just get more involved and help more with the competition. Would have fished if my own new boat and motor, but just not the same otherwise.

Catch up on Thursday, hope for some good weather for the three days of the Putt Bennett Family Fishing Competition.

just another ETEC hiccup, that's why I own a Honda. The only hiccup I've ever had was my new boat sat for an extra week in Brissie due to the lack of trucks. all being used for the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, trust me to order a boat with the same delivery date as Sanctuary Cove.

Still its a bugger when you dicked around by the dealer, I'd be asking for a big discount or a few extras thrown in for the stuffing around. I did, go some the labour for the fitout for free and saved a few dollars.

That is so pathetic not giving you a straight story.

Put it in writing someone may have a concience there and in hindsight fix you up somehow. How bloody embarassing for the dealer.

Think the dealer might find people travelling a little bit further away from him to buy the gear, word of mouth surely finds a way of straightening these dealers out.

Even if he has genuine excuses, he should at least keep the customer informed where everything is and what is happening. Poor form and no excuse for shitty customer service.
