hi guys, need a bit of help my father is heading up north to cairns around australia day for a week and is hoping to get some fishing done whilst he is up there. looking for two types of charters for him one would be gamefishing for marlin and other game fish or charters chasing barra. dads got over 20yrs experince in marlin fishing so he is no beginner but has never caught a barra, jack, threadfin or anything else like that. any help would be great just read another thread about a charter that was a load of crap and dont want dad to go through that. thanks guys

My wife and I went out with this guy in october 07 on our honeymoon and he was really good did not stuff around for ages collecting bait ( we did collect bait about 15 min) 10 min later we were fishing our first cast and in the boat was a little barracotta, we did not catch any barra or jacks which is what i was after we did however catch atleast 10 - 15 fish the biggest a 5 kg salmon of somesort, we only fished the cairns inlet the guide took another charter up into barron river the day before us and caught a few good barra and a nice size jack. check him out he is not to bad both price wise and fishing time wise.
