Thats the great part about owning a polycraft, run into things and they bounce off. Not sure how it would go hitting a pro crabber in a black boat at 20 knots though!

ya didnt get his number by chance mate?
they normally have a large yellow sqaure with three to four black letters inside it.
The Pine River is my local and I have lost 8 pots in total last year in the pine alone . this year I'm not even going to bother crabbing. not when I can buy a sandy for $5.50. I'm sticking to just fishing this year.
got to admit I have never seen a black boat down there but I aways launch from the dirt ramp at the end of bald hills rd. and normerly stick to the south pine and rarely go past the brigde.
is time to go fishing yet
Is there a rough area where the pots are getting lifted from? I want to have a crack at the theives with a camcorder.
the pro fishing boundry is on the corner, just pass the little island in the south pine.(heading up stream) you may have seen a sign, with FB on it? so normally you wont see them much past there. good ramp that one, i use it alot as well. the carpark grubs have been leaving it alone lately.

mine were in 4 mile creek, it is probably a very good stakeout position.
i will assit where possible mate.
speaking with a work college today. he had 8 (eight) pots slashed in the pine. 4 were past the highway bridge, and 4 down towards dohles rocks. the bastards are getting that lazy to even open pots now, must be easier just to slash them open.
somthing has to be done.
i dunno if it is the pro? but if it is, he will, lose everything.
cheers
lippa
Perhaps a group of us should get together and track these theives down.
