    Talking Bribie Passage.

Hooked up with fellow Ausfisher " flatzie " for a run up around Coochin Creek. Flatzie showed me how to fish with soft plastics for Flathead and didn't he make it look easy , scoring 9 Flatties after tossing different plastics for no more than 45minutes . I showed flatzie how to pick up a few Whiting although they were fairly quiet . Thanks Barry for a great morning . Hopefully I will be able to post a pic of a Flathead caught on a soft plastic in the near future . Hoping to see you with a few big Whiting soon.

Nice stuff Coochin, I fished softies up that way this morn on the tide change, managed around 10 lizards, but they were all still attending primary school lol.
Day wasnt a total waste though, pulled 2 thumping big bucks out of Glassy when I picked up the pots on the way back to the ramp.

    cheers

    Coochin
Incredibly generous of you to take me out and show me the ropes on the big whiting. Great to meet such great blokes on Ausfish.
I learned heaps from your experience freely shared. Good stuff! I look forward to a few big tings in the future!
Yeah the flatties delivered a purple patch, wish they were that energetic all the time. Well you've got another bullet in the barrel with the SPs. With your knowledge of local waters, the flatties etc are in trouble.
    Thanks again

That's not fishing, more like harvesting. I'm truly impressed..

Get some Gulp 3' minnows, and 2" Shrimp. Cast at ledges, sandbar edges and weedbanks. Just work areas well, we were anchored today when I got the flatties, but mostly drift. Work them slow, little jerks and pauses, wind up the slack before jigging them forward again, Flatties almost always nail it when its sitting still during your pause.
