Saltwater overhead for casting

I'm looking at options for my latest rod.
I'm building it on a Batson RCLB80M 8' blank in a spiral configuration.
The main target species will be giant trevally, mackerel etc with either live baits or large poppers & lures.
I'm as yet undecided on what to top it with.
I have an Accurate B2-870 which I love, so I wouldn't mind another Accurate, however I haven't tried any serious casting with it.

My other thoughts are a Shimano Trinidad (probably a TN40N) or a Diawa Saltist.
I like the option of the narrow body on some of the Trinidads.
I feel that a narrow reel on a rod designed for this kind of use would be benificial.

Free spool on the Accurate seems much better than either the Shimano or Daiwa's I've looked at, though this may not necessarily equate to better casting.

Anyone own and use any of these for this type of work?
Any other recommendations based on personal experience?

I have done a small bit of casting with a trinadad 40n and it works well the cast controll helps aswell. It casts a lot better than the saltist.

Actually having looked a bit more deeply into the Daiwa range, I'd probably lean more to the Saltiga than the Saltist.
Still love to hear what others have found about these models.

never heard of anyone building an acid wrap for casting, especially on a rod so long.
spiral wrapped rods are usually built for short strokers, but, you never know, it might work ok.
i think you were on the right track with the trinidad. accurates and other lever drags will do the job, but some type of casting brake, whether centrifugal weights or magnets make things easier.
Penn torque 100 is available with magnets if you like top shelf reels.
