How did you go? I went out, but was with the wife and kids. It was too bumpy off West Point for the kids to sleep in the cabin, so we fished a Mark inside the island. Got a couple of squid ok, lost them pretty quick too. But didn't get anything. I was going to stay the night on the boat and head to the shoals today. But the storms were a little worrying. So we came back in about Midnight.

Might try again tonight. But without the wife and kids!!! But I need to round up someone to go with.

i went out on monday nite & got my ass KICKED! big time, with 5 hits & 5 good runs with no fish in return. got bricked every time! my mate lost 3 & got 1 at 80cm.
took scott out last nite... perfect conditions but we watched that massive storm coming over mt Stuart, time to head in. got just past westpoint the rain was stinging, lighting everywhere! the waves chopped up with the wind screaming! got back to palleranda ramp just before dark, thank f@#k. on monday nite didn't come home empty handed, caught 2 kg of squid & they were very tasty!

Well done Ron, lynne noticed your boat in the drive. good to see you getting out.
was going to put in last night and watch the fireworks/wet a line with a beer in hand but when that wind picked up late yesterday, I changed my mind and we had a quiet one at home..

Is there a pontoon at Ross River ramp? Was gonna head out to the Cape chasing fingermark tonight, but the forecast this morning was a bit dodgy. Looking outside now, i should have gone.. Tomorrow night for sure if the weather holds.

Yeah Shane the pontoon at Ross River is bigger than the one at Coastguard and alot better setup. At least your able to get a park at Ross.

i went out on monday night to the cape and caught 2 nice fingers at 55-60 cm each. One on dead squid and one on live squid, only got 4 squid so it made it hard althogh it has been one of my better trips out recently
