CQ fishing with kids

I have a 5yr old son who is as keen on fishing as what I am. We have recently moved to cq and need some places to fish.

Can anyone help me with some great land based locations to take the kids to? Also if you have any good spots for land based fishing for bigger species would be greatly appreciated

The Causeway lake is always a gret spot to take the kids with some good facillityies there to hold their attention. On the lake side or the ocean side there is always some whiting bream and grunter and trevelly to be caught and the elusive barra at times of the run thru
Most of the beaches thru CQ hold whiting if the trawlers haven't be close in ...........Kinka beach and the Haven beach in Emu park will give you coverage from prevailig northly at the Haven and SE at kinka
The Harbour is also a nice spot to mate
