what lb fireline for bream and flatties?

Ok now i have my hot little hands my SOL 2500.
I'm have to spool her up. I put 10lb fireline on one spool for the bay snapper. I'm not sure if its enough but i had it floating around.

But fishing for the bream and the flatties with soft plastics i was thinking either 6lb or 4lb. If it makes any difference i use 6lb leader for bream and 12lb for flatties.

    Your thoughts

Don't really think there is much different between either of them I think 4 only comes in smoked (what I saw last time I bought it). I'd just go the 6lbs just for the fact your knots will hold a bit more strength with the 12lbs leader

would use 4 lbs for bream
Better to cast with, lighter jig heads and if you are dropping your leader down to 2 lbs for Bream a 4 lbs main is all you will need
4 lbs Fireline or Stren is probably closer to 8 lbs
4 lbs is also ok for flatties in shallow water with a 12 lbs leader

i have the 2500 and have 4lb crystal on one spool. and 8lb cyrstal on the other.

youll find it alot easier to use 4lb for your bream and flathead, cause youll make alot more distance in your cast.
if you think your going to have problems with tying 10lb+ leader.. just keep experimenting with different connections to find a strong hold.
just this arvo i was running 30lb off my 4lb chasing jacks.
    its not impossible...

i run 6lb as a all round light braid on my Stradic 1000,use it on bream and trout to snook and aust. Salmon. All round line class 6lb IMO.

I use 4lb on a Exceller 2500 Fireline Crystal is the best braid IMO. Don't go below 2lb though as it will get extremely hard to tie knots. For bream I use 4lb and fllaties I would run around 6-8lb usually. It depends on the area, if you're in snag area use 10lb to get the fish in early, but if you're just in an estuary without snags use 4-6lb alround.
