Trailer Brakes

I think i may have asked this yonks ago, but anyway here it is again...........

My boat trailer needs the brakes serviced ( becuase of slackness washing them after use etc etc). Also the cable running to the front of the trailer has broken.

Can anyone recommend anybody that does this sort of stuff?

I'd say any trailer repair place or brake shop should be able to to the jobs, I have mechanical disk brakes on my trialer and used to have to change the pads every 6 months due to the rust swelling till the things locked up, last time I did it I used a heavy zink metal primer 2 coats and 2 finish coats of rust guard, paint all but the contact to disk surface, they have lasted for about 2 years. cheers

at last engine service, I had the boys at Wynnum Marine machine a rusted disc on the trailer and replace the bearings.

yeah yeah I know I should have done it myself, but I had more money than time!

they should be able to do your trailer repairs easily.

very simple job for any mechanic, doesnt need to be a marine mechanic
