Great stuff...
Seems the marlin were on fire yesterday....reports coming from everywhere...
Pete
The Marlin were thick off the cape yesterday and i took a mate for his first trolling session, we lost count of the strikes but once we got our act together we managed to boat a 10kg mahi mahi, and 2 marlin around the 30 kg mark.
Great stuff...

Hi Death_Ship,
Good to see you caught some Dollies as well. Those bloody Marlin kept hogging the lures and wouldn"t let the Dollies in.
Well done mate. The Marlin were at LEAST 30Kg.
Frank OO
Well done mate! we had 6 hook ups in the day... 4 busted off, but one was a 69kg black and the other was a 83 black... Seems they were really active yesterday
I can't get out till new years day so i hope you guys are going to scare all those blacks away on me. its only 8 more sleeps not that i'm counting lol & at this stage the long range weather is looking good for it too.
Good one Brett, nice dollie to
Cheers
Bill
Gday,
Where were the thick Marlin? Were they in the area just Sth East of the Cape where there were a few game boats?
We got zip. Damn it, I knew someone was getting them all!
Cheers,
Myles
Send em down to swr fullas
We wondered why there wasn't more boats out on the reefs yesterday, looks like they all chased marlin by the reports. Nice looking dollie and sounds your mate would have seen a fair bit of action.
Cheers Gaven
excellent work once again mate,
cheers justin
Frank i couldnt raise a snapper all morning i guess they dont like marlin! or maybe marlin like snapper?
jim on aquasition got a dollie and a couple marlin as well, the dollies all seemed around the 10 kg mark.
Another mate fished solo and got 5 marlin and 2 dollies! needless to say we still havent stopped hearing about it
I hope some of these fish flow back through next years season. These little ones come in too quick even on 6 and are giving my ribs a workout, the biger ones don't seam to be as green when they get to the boat.
Great session, smiles all round.
Mitch
hi mitch i agree with your comment about some being a bit green ive had a few smaller blacks in the last couple of weeks that went beserk near the boat and nearly come aboard that scared the s..t out of my young bloke, not to mention the marks down the side of my boat.
cheers jim
