    noosa mackrel yestreday

    hi all

    Went fishing yesterday with my mate shaun_s out at noosa reefs and i caught this 80cm mackrel on bait it faught really good, shaun also caught a 15 to 20kg yellow fin tuna on very light gear 10lb braid and 40lb leater took about 1 hour to stop the beast haha he should have the pics up soon!! it was my fist mackrel ever and plenty more to come hopefully aye haha!!
    also caught this weird looking gugen i think??? on popper a couple of days ago does anyone know wat it could be??

    Nice 1 Cervi. How'd your WA trip go?

    Looks like a spotted gudgeon that other fish. Got a couple in my fish tank, they love smashing stuff like crickets off the surface.

    hay mate WA was so F###ing good aye waves were so pumping had it 8-10ft offshore for two days got 3 10 footers on the head snapped my board and got so rolled but got some beautys also so it was so good, everyother day was over 4 ft and pumping aye, i miss the waves already aye im going to live there for 2 months next year hahaha yyewwwwwww!!

    Nah, it's been total crap.

    I haven't been to WA, but it's on the to do list. Maybe next year.

    Looks like we're gunna get a swell next week, Chrissy day lookin' good at this stage. Points should be on, but the crowds gunna be hectic with everyone frothin 4 a surf.

    yea i know it has been so bad had a little waves yestreday but still small!!

    hey jamesy! me and pete(dad) got out today, got a big spotty, 4kg trout and a 40lb black out wider. what boat have you and shauno been heading out in??? spewing im off to bali on monday for 2wks and wont get another fish in before i go.. gonna be one of the best summers ever here!

    haha shit thats sic so jelly of you going to bali aye waves should b pumping over there aye!!
    um been going out in shauno's 15ft tinny does the job but this week end i will take my 17fter out aye haha!!

    Looks like a snake head gudgeon to me, closley related to its smaller more common cousin (in SEQ) the purple spot gudgeon. Great aquarium fish but they do like to jump out so be careful.
