Hi all
Going to try the Noosa river this week one arvo, have fished there off the shore and caught whiting, but I am going to take the tinny up and want to work Sps for some flatties etc.
Any advice on flatties in that river, and any suggestions on the areas to try, Sps used etc? I usually use Gulps.
Is it better to try near the mouth or go further up river?
Happy Christmas all!

No fish at Noosa, mate, to many tourists.
Stop in at Barra Jacks when you get there they have a good idea on whats biting and what to use where

Flatzie if you go upstream drift the channel towards the end of the first lake you will see a couple of island and sand bars there that hold flathead and whiting and a few school jew.

My favourite spot in the channel leading out to the mouth. Easy to drift and cast into the fallen tree, allow to sink and bounce back. I usually use 3-4 inch GULPs for this. I have only really done it in a Kayak but the theory should still apply.
Good luck!
thanks abbot, thats the one, heaps of flattys in the 35-50cm hang on the edges of the ribbon weed beds

Thanks all, I know there are good fish there Didley, caught heaps of Tings off the shore right in front of all the tourists.
Looking forward to a session there will post how it goes.
Many thanks
