lmf 400 lowrance
i have early 05 suzuki 175 and a 5500c lowrance chartplotter all blue ends and would like to know if ican get the lowrance to read all the info from the ecu or should i put in a lmf 400 or 200 multifunction gauge. i would like litres per kms but litres per hour would probably do. is it possible to hook up that combination or is the 5500 to old

Re: lmf 400 lowrance
Hey Jett ...
Had me wondering so I got onto the Lowrance site to confirm that the 5500c is NMEA 2000 compliant which it is.
As far as the Suzi ECU ... dunno!! You need to get the good oil from the Suzuki brotherhood to answer that one. Isn't there a couple of different part numbers for the diferent models of engines there?
Failing that I have run EP10 sensors from time to time hooked up to our boats for fuel flow in the past and they were spot on once calibrated.
Re the LMF400 quite an expensive investment by comparison I would have thought as compared to just running the EP10 fuel flow sensor.
Just a thought and if all else fails, I have a very good second hand EP10 you can have at a fraction of the new cost, just sitting here as I am back to diesel these days and it can't be used in that application .... I am going to throw that and other stuff together shortly to clear out the shed in any case !!
Cheers
