    Samuri Reaction Rods

    G'day guys,
I am reading the latest modern fishing mag and noticed an ad for the samurai reaction rods. Does anybody know anything about them? They look great IMO. The frogleys website has no info on them as far as I can see and I cant seem to find any on the websites. Im am curious to know how they perform and what they are worth. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

have had a play with a couple of the blanks unbuilt and do feel very nice for how i like. Slightly crisper than the standard samurai. What type of blank were you hunting for?

I liked the 6' 6" barra baitcaster rated 10 - 17lb. I wanted to get a custom rod build, but this rod is exactly what I was going to get built, same guides and grips only I was wanting to use a 6' loomis blank. I was keen to know what they are worth, i'm guessing it will be a bit less than a custom job.

You will probably pick the blank up for around the 190-200 mark as a bit of a guess then depends on how you want the blank built, what guides and butt section as to the final costs of the rod.

Sorry ant, I may have led you down the garden path a little. It appears from the recent ad that they are making complete rods. I have scanned the ad out of modern fishing for you to check out.

    Cheers, Jado

Just found that rec retails will start from around $550 mark. Understandable considering they are coming with Fuji Ti Sic guides and other top Fuji fittings. The joy of getting high end gear, not cheap but designed to last a lifetime
