If the switches are a standard size, Jaycar sells little rubber water resistant boots to seal the switches from moisture . Alternatively I would look at making some kind of cover to go over the switchbox to cut down on exposure to moisture and accidental kicking of switches.
Yeah I do fish in salt water, I guess I should have mounted it backwards behind the seat, I was just concerned about getting in the way there too. I will check out the waterproof boots at Jaycar.
Matt, I had that type, and eventually changed it to the splash proof one.Had the old one for years though.

The all round (not stern) light must be at least 1 metre above the side lights, do it once and do it right I say.
Good job by the way...
Nice work on the wiring - you should also think about installing a 12v socket for a torch or LED lamp etc - always comes in handy sometimes. Darren.
Whacky do...What a nice job that you should be proud of.
Well done!!
Nothing like having a bit of pride in your workmanship.![]()

I'm pretty sure I've seen those boxes at Bias or Whitworths. They come in two parts and screw together with the switches on the front panel.

did you think about using carbonless rubber washers to insulate your stainless screws/bolts from the ally to prevent electrolis's just a passing thought
