So my lis is in town from london and she hadn't been fishing in 23 years lol
She was keen and we had limited time so in the middle of the day we headed off to bribie and I got some fresh worms from the tackle shop....I usually fish plastics.
Dubious as I was about catching any fish in the middle of the day we headed to the eastern side of the passage and found a nice land based spot.
Never had much luck around that area but hadn't been there for years.
Rigged up a rod for us each and we waded out on the flats and I noticed all the baby whiteing around....
First cast for my sis and it goes no where but with a bit of practice on a spinning real she gets it..
First cast by me on a baitcaster and I remember that I forget how to use it..sigh.
So second cast and I get a fun summer whiting, just legal.
A few casts by my sister and she gets one too....man was she excited and scared of it too...so funny
Was so happy she caught a fish and so was she...
We then spent about an hour catching just legal whiteing and letting em go.
was great fun...the area was so clean from rubbish and there were so many young fish around it was a great time compared to visiting there years ago.
hope those whiteing grow bigger so that maybe next time she comes home we can go there and get some elbow slappers...
