luring the maroochy 6/12
hit the maroochy this morning with the uncle in his new sea jay 4.15 classic, launched at bli bli right on low( no fun at all, takes 50 m out from the ramp to get the motor down without disturbing the floor bead) throw the lures out in a 4 rod spread and motored on down to main bridge, noticed still alot of fresh in the system and figured would do better down towards the mouth, on the way the was telling me about something that spolled him last week 200m downstream of the main bridge(200m 15lb), asked him what he was using and he said the same as he had on now(berkley frenzy hard body) $3 special at big w, figured no loss until we nailed 3 flaties between 50-60cm in a 300m stretch from the start of the high rises down towards the mouth all on these lures, later in reflection i figured because of the rattle in the lures combined with discolouration in the water this was the prime working conditions fot these lures, i was using manns, halco, tilsan and laser pros to no avail(no rattle in any) conditions look good for a live bait session, heading down tonight to fish the cod hole
