    Sussing Soft Plastics

I decided to give this plastic thing a serious go. After targeting the fish i normally chase (Barra, Macks, Tuna etc) and failing. I decided to start with the basics and chase smaller fish.
I down sized from 30 to 6 lb braid, smaller rod and reel and smaller baits. And presto! Its all coming together.
I get about 40mins before work to have a flick and today went off. Rarely did i cast without a hit. I went through about 8 , 4 inch mullet gulps, landing 2 cod , 2 moses perch and a flathead. The highlight but was losing a 40cm barra to a thrown hook and my knot letting go on a much larger barra.
    Awsome fun.
Cant wait to have another go in the morning.
    Cheers

Bloody skite................. nah, good onya a thinking fisherman, that little EC wanted that prawn didn't he.
When you get real keen try some of the frog softies on the surface, I think your Mackay Barra will find them very tasty.

    Cheers, Pete.

You've got better eyes than me AZ, I can't tell what the leader material is from that photo, I think there's some light reflection off the line that makes it hard to identify. But if it is how you say, and he uses good fluro, he better hide behind a tree while putting a placcie on with the success he's already had
