    bluecharts on GPSmap 60

    Does anyone use a Garmin GPSmap 60 with the bluecharts maps? The GPSmap 60 is the black and white model. Are the maps readable on the grayscale screen? I've got the GPS unit but I'm just trying to decide whether its worth buying the bluecharts CD for about $200, or whether I should just upgrade to a better GPS with a colour screen.

    Adam you should be able to upgrade to a garmin 72csx for very reasonable dollars now esp if you buy 2nd hand. I saw one go 2nd hand two weeks ago with roadmaps loaded for $220 at the local flea market. I had a peek at it prior to selling and was in perfect condition and looked unused. Was gonna swing back after brekky and pick it up if it was still there.....3 mins late. No prob i still have a perfectly good gpsmap60. (they work fine with greyscale)

    I have a different model of Garmin and its grayscale - no probs for me. But then again, if I could afford the colour, I'd be buying that. Cheers, Darren.
