    Re: the Borumba bash 5th 6th 7th march 2010.

I promised a report so here it is.
Yeh comp off and back home, got out just in time.
Mon & Tue water was flowing 10 to 15 feet over Yabba Creek bridges 1 to 6. The creek dropped considerably Thur & Fri though they closed x'ing 6 for 1/2 a day on Fri for repairs (x,ing 6 will need work again next week, so will x'ing 1) Got through to Borumba Fri arvo but the camping ground at the dam wall was a slush pit so we stayed at the Deer Park. Some guys did fish Fri arvo, dam was chocolate but they still got 4 toga and a couple of bass on surface & sp-baits. The Yabba rose again very early today (Sat) after raining all Fri night, x'ing 1 between the Deer Park and the dam was 3 ft under so we couldn't get through, comp was called off. We all left for home by 7am and got through X'ing 6 near Imbil with 1 ft of water running over it and rising. There were 4 of our guys at the Dam Wall camping ground who had to take the forestry trail around to Brooloo to get out. Hopefully you guys will have better luck than us.
    Cheers

Also, do we need to book camping? Or do we just rock up and look for you guys?

I don't know about lures but I recon a couple of sticks of TNT would work real fine, oh and a scoop net............

Sure will Brian, it will be good to compare the two different brands if Lee has the lowrance. Not sure if we're bringing the poly or Tin Tub but fits on either.

Lee...remember I'm bringing that 126 Tropical for your meat. My bro-in-law is coming but can't leave Bris till lunch Friday. We'll still arrange a rendezvous in the morning on Friday if you're travelling up early.

    Thanks mate.

The 5-6kg slab unfortunately has had to be reduced down to 3-4kg sorry

Any chance your brother in law can leave a bit earlier as I might be able to pick him up on the way through?

    Cheers

    Lee
