    Brothers 82cm snap

I finally got my brothers camera off him to grab this pic.

Chris came home yesterday afternoon with this in the box. 82cm is a new pb for him by 1cm

He was fishing on his own around the Myora area, sorry i dont really know too many details of the catch except it was caught on one of those large curly tail grubs from berkley, and I think it was nuke chook flavoured and it occurred around midday.

I haven't been for a fish in weeks, going through withdrawals again.

Noice Noice, did ya get a fillet off ya bro? Those curly tail grubs don't get much of a wrap but we have good luck dead stickin' em on the drift.

    Cheer's Pete.

Scalem - he was probably using a decent weight like an 1oz jighead to keep it down in the water (maybe more, I know he has 1.5oz too), it was a big runout from 2.2 - 0.6mts at 2pm. When the currents going quick, cast as far as you can upcurrent, if you have the weight it'll sink to the depth you want quicker. Then you can jig and retrieve as it comes to you and you can open the bail after its gone past to keep it going for a bit longer. A lot of structure through there, using the weight to keep it down in the current you'll grab the bottom quite a bit, and you get the odd cod too.

Bayfisher - he took the boat to work again this morning and its done nothing but rain here all morning, he's keen!

Pete62 - yeah mate got a fillet, we got four slabs off one side that the family ate on tuesday, the other side is tonights dinner. Those curly tail grubs are great alright, cod love them! Rig them curl down .

Nugg - yep pretty happy with his efforts, quietly chuffed, hes a man of few words.

Why has it got grass on it?

    Re: Brothers 82cm snap

Sea grass from the beds near there, run out tide near the bottom would have a fair bit of stuff in the water.

Always told you mate that Rainbow has some hidden secrets. once you learn to fish the currents. Nice fish though, could show you a few like that we've pulled out of the area over the years.

Same size as mine but his is thicker in the back. Good fish and a healthy specimen. Great fight sitten right there.
