Thread: Currumbin Alley

    Currumbin Alley

Is this an easy bar to go out through in an 18ft glass boat. It is a fair shortcut to Palm beach compared to the seaway. Hoping to get down there Friday to have a crack at a mack

Currumbin bar is a sandpit at the moment . Limits your time on the water to the few hours around the top of the tide in a big boat . If you are serious go there on the low and have a look from the lookout up the steps opposite the alley .

It is herendise at the moment with little to no water on it. Also mermaid has had a few fish i hear as well which is closer to you. If you really want to go out of Currumbin you will have to go have a look of the point as it changes every 2 days. also watch out for the dredge pipes as you can hit them on a half tide thats how shallow it is.

Its herendise at the moment with there being little to no water on it what so ever. Also be carefull of the submerged dredge line as it is hitable on a half tide thats how shallow it is. I hurd mermaid has a few fish to offer as well??????

If you have never crossed it before, now is not a good time to learn. You could do worse than sit on the north wall one morning and watch a few guys cross it.
