    Fishing Cape-Hutchies,Wide.

Decided to do a trip this morning, After a few hiccups we were on our way outside, first troll was around hutchies with a few bigger lures in hunt of wahoo, nothing came for the first hour. so decided to stick a small christmas tree out on the 6kg spin outfit. another hour saw the rod bend over and line started to peel.
came in relatively easy so called it for a mack tuna.. turned out to be a small striped tuna about 3 kgs. trolled a little more till the decky got seasick, (her first time outside) so i decided to do a few quick drifts to keep her occupied. first drift produced 1 king, second drift another 3 kings. all just legal rats. They were thick as tho the water was yellow with them chasing oneanother up,

On a brighter note. There seems to be a fair amount of jellybeans about breaking the surface around the hutchies area.. shouldent be too long now!!!

There were a few other boats trolling the area. None seemed to hook up either.

The water looks magic. How can someone get sick in those conditions? At least you enjoyed a great day out. Will wait and see Outsiderskips report tommorrow night hey. Darren.

Conditions were perfect. like a winter days glass out, the clarity wasent too bad,
Was thinking of going tomorrow, but got some maintence to catch up on.. the seat some how rattled all the attaching bolts out. leaving me sitting in mid air holding the wheel trying to work out what was going on for a second!, then the rocket lauchers broke 10 mins later and came crashing down on my head! what a trip...

Cant wait to get out there agian.. hopefully next week, Wouldent mind trying some kings on 6lb

You mean you aren't going to be at the ramp on Wednesday like you promised?

Don't tell me you are behind in your maintenance? Oh right, only the seat and rocket launchers wwere neglected, the outboard, steering, batteries and radios are all tip top. LOL

the steering is new actually as are the batteries and radio.... but nehow, the rocket launchers are the adjustable type (beam) they have tube alloy inserts, and grub screws, the inner tube ate out. despite being less then a year old... goes to show. nothing beats the old stainless.
