Back to Basics @ Brekky Creek

This strong wind was a blessing in disguise.
I left the boat at home & took two mates down to newstead park.

Threw out some squid, but didn't get a bite.
Flicked a halco trembler around & picked up a quality 60cm flathead.

It felt great to save all the time, money & fuel I would have consumed if the weather was better.

Certainly reminded me of where my passion for fishing started...............

And isn't it a good feeling mate to leave the technology behind and still have a win. Good onya mate. I think we all tend to forget just how simple fishing can be. Good flattie also

    Hey Dantren,

Were you down there at about lunch time? I walked past a few guys fishing the mouth. I was enjoying some fresh prawns and oysters.. It wasn't fishing but tasted good. Congrats on the flatty

Does any one take any notice of the FISHING PROHIBITED sign??
I was tempted for a second, then decided to setup on the grass.
Five minutes later, a group of imports setup on the pontoon
    Didn't see them catch anything.....

Good flatty mate and a lot of time saved bobin around in the chop. I was at green is. this week at night at 14 feet and hooked a 60 cm flatty out in snapper area but lost him on 4 pound leader (thinking i had 12 pound on) another lesson learned. I thought fishin was an adiction lol.
