Baitcaster Braid?
Hi all,
I have just purchased a new Baitcasting Reel ( Abu Revo Toro 50) and have been chucking up what braid to use. I have been leading towards Nitlon but there are so many good braids out there. So I was wondering what u guys would use.
Cheers PM

Re: Baitcaster Braid?
i have 30lb tuff line on my daiwa saltist. cant fault it,cast lures all day like a dream! have had fins and nitlon on other b-casters tho. there all good. i tend to stay away from fireline over 6lb tho as i find it has to much memory in the line

Re: Baitcaster Braid?
ive been using 30lb nitlon on my zillion since i got it 2 years ago
but just recently ive thought about having a taste for change and you are right theres alot of nice braids out there.. so ive just started trying 30lb Saltiga Surf braid. its problery the one of the finest in its class. with the 30lb being finer than the nitlon 20.

Re: Baitcaster Braid?
I have 10lb sunline cast away on my zillion and love it. infact I'm going to get some more for newly acquired 50mg.
Keep smiling, It makes people wonder what you're up to.

Re: Baitcaster Braid?
I got 15lb Daiwa Sensor Braid on the Zillion and 15lb Super PE on the chronarch...
I feel that there isnt much between em except the cost. The Super PE 150m spool i can get for 28bux... compared to 55bux for the Daiwa. The daiwa is thinner tho.

Like you, I've just been looking to try something different. So I've just tried Spiderwire Stealth 15lb on my new Curado - doesnt seem to have the memory of Fireline and good to tie knots.

Re: Baitcaster Braid?
i prefere something like fins or tuffline for baitcasters oe PE braids,
better knot straighnt
still a very thin diameter
but pe braid are very poor when its comes to abrasion resistance (most braids are)
but tuffline and fins are much better when wrapped around a log or pilon.
the coating seem to prtect it.
dont get my wrong i love PE braids but for thedline reels.
