G'day
Awesome work, and I really like the bare timber look. The on water shot is a bit of an illusion, she looks about 90', not 30'!

Its the details, those little details, that make the difference.
Thanks Guys
OB the blokes at work reckon they are going to get me an intercom or a flyingfox and a second sounder because the front might be well off the spot

I wish I had thought about timber gunnels on the old boat it does look a bit classy and I can't wait till snapperhead paints the outside
first good weekend we'll be doing a 3 - 4 dayer at Northwest so we can checkout all the wide reef surf spots for other fishing/surfing trips
Anyone up this way that wants to do a trip and can't find another boat to run with give me a yell
Cheers

Hay, Rob Here. wanting to chat with you about the Brute 29 long boat you have. Looking at one for sale. how do you find it as a sea going boat when the weather turns fowl???
I'd like to know how much it weighs if you get a chance
it weighs around 1300kg hull only and 2400kg with motor and on trailer
now I've done a couple of thousand kms in all weather it averages 1.3km/ltr at 50 km/hr
wouldn't swap for anything less than a 24ft cat or any mono under same length
cheers

The one I took for a run felt light in the nose n seemed to porpos a little, do you think for light travel, ie. empty would trim tabs be a good investment ??? It will help get more hull in the water. It has the same fuel tank set up, port n Starboard. The tanks I feel are to far aft as well and to move them foward will trim the boat better, they should be fitted on the longitudal centre of boyancy. I will do some research.
The one im looking at runs a 200 HDPI Yammie 05 model with 409 hrs. It looks very clean.
any comments on the motor from those who can help.
cheers Rob...
Yeah mate after a bad fuel batch from the local I had to throw away a few hundred litres so I cut out the glass tanks and got stainless tanks made that run down the middle
I moved the weight forward a bit to flatten out the cruise angle because trim and trim tabs still fell short of best travel position into a big sloppy sea
one of the blokes in our crew has got a 175 yammy hdpi 2006 with 500+hrs he had a couple of minor probs early but it is going real well now
it uses a little more juice than a 4st and much better than a standard 2st it is very quick off the mark
cheers
