    Buying Deep Cycle Batteries

    Hi guys,

a mate is looking to buy a couple of deep cycle batteries for his electric and is getting hugely variable prices.

Just wondering if anyone knows a reliable supplier in Brisbane, preferably on the North side of town.

    Catch ya

I recently did the same thing, but looking around for my electric cart on our farm. same thing with prices varying dramtically. Eventually went to a golf cart place and they were much cheaper. I can dig up a number if you want.

There was a to do on this board some time ago, as part of that I checked out some prices..... and yes, the prices can vary quite considerably.

both brand to brand and same brand and item from supplier to supplier.

you realy do have to shop arround and know the details of what you are buying.

for example two different brands selling a battery the same physical size but claiming very different AH capacity.... look closer and the figures were for different discharge rates.

Make sure you are comparinmg same with same or at least know the difference between one and the other.

    cheers

I know it's not the northside but I've found Battery Traders at Moss St Springwood the best for service and prices over the years. Steve is a fisho himself and knows what's required for marine situations. They don't stock cheap shit though, only the good gear. I bought a Ctek charger there this week for less than 2/3 the recomened retail, very happy.
