Read Leeroy1's post about fishing for choppers on Burleigh this week. As I was headed down to Burleigh to check out a boat, though I'd go early and throw a few slugs about off the beach there.
2nd cast I got this fellow (some kind of mackeral?). 3 or 4 casts later got another the same size and then nothing. I was imagining though that the amount of people in the water around this time would affect me though (shoulda got there earlier, it's been over 10 years since I last visited Burleigh).
Would have been good to walk up and down the beach, the water looked quite good and there was no weed. Better then sleeping in until I left to look at the boat though!
nice work looks like a sharkie or Grey mackerel but could be wrong! you can get some good tailor of the headland at times. burliegh is a top spot for fishing and surfing. Cheers Muz
