    more donny tings

I fished donnybrook and coochin area from before sparrow fart this morning for 9 tings 24-30 cm and 5 bream so got a feed ran into coochin at the ramp he had a few better quality fish than i had so had a chat to him, also had the marine parks boys come up for a chat re the new green zone gave me a heap of material aso said if i had any questons to contact i think it was either cleveland or caplaba marine parks as it was all being done from down there. but said if you do get caught in the new zone depending on how far in it and your attitude and wether they think you are there on purpose more than likely they wll just give warnings to start with but if they think you are purposely targeting the zone you will get booked but it comes down to judgement and common sense

    Hi Honky Dory,
I found all the info on the zoning changes on the Coastwatch website. The maps are a bit small to read but most of the info is there . A run up to Coochin from Donnybrook is going to take a fair while longer if the go slow zone is enforced. Good to catch up with fellow Ausfisher robersl at the ramp and swap a bit of info about our fishing and bait gathering haunts.

G'Day Shane, sounds like your getting a good feed lately. What are you mainly targeting - bream or flatties? I might have to tag along in my boat oneday with you for some lessons. Cheers mate, Darren

hey fishbait no targeting whiting bream and stingrays are a bycatch,

was on the bank just down from the yellow crossover in the main channel at donnybrook at 12pm casting up onto the bank i saw a rock on the bank it had barnicles ect all over it it was out of the water when i got there kept watching the tide come up so i knew when to throw up onto the bank this rock was a foot high well i thought it was a rock but when the tide got half up the rock i seen a head poke up out the water it was a turtle or tortise strange but it stayed put even when the water came up but was stickig its head out to breath ever so often thought it strange but it did not seem to be distressed so left it alone but the shell was not smoth like a turtle it dead set looked like a rough rock
